I made that connection while watching them, but I thought it was so obvious I didn't need to comment on it in this review. Maybe there's an UNFRIEND REQUEST shared universe that no one but you and I are discussing.

I just like that they're similar enough that when you said someone named Laura committed suicide in the second film, I wondered if we were still talking about Laura from the first.

You may be happy to know that that toy store that was selling the zombie figures went on to become "Monroeville Zombies" the world's first zombie museum located in the mall for 5 years, then relocated to Evans City, home of "Night of the Living Dead", renamed "The Living Dead Museum & Gift Shop". So at least for 5 year the mall made an attempt to toit up the connection.

I interviewed David Schmoeller, the film's director,and he was well aware of the true story. As far as the film being "sick" or "vulgar," if you were to watch it, you would know it doesn't justify the killers' actions or try to make heroes of them. Instead, it examines how they try to make sense of those actions.

You do realise that this film is the Jamie Bulger story from the UK? It's sick this film has been made, nobody careswhat happens to those monsters, and to makea film about this without even a ention of the true story it is using, is vulgur.

Great piece. I loved Kevin, too. Great character actor and always fun to watch. A child of the 80's, my best memories are of Twilight Zone the Movie and Innerspace (love the suit!). Great at delivering lines. He sure had a lot of class and will be missed.
